Welcome to Thika Book Fair
Thika Book Fair is supported by Solano Publications Ltd, a publisher based in Thika. The fair shall be held at Ananas Mall in Thika from 31st January to 2nd February, 2025, a three days event (Friday, Saturday and Sunday).
Book publishers, primary and secondary schools, colleges, universities and other education-related entities to exhibit and attend the event. On the sidelines of the fair, there shall be book launches, workshops and family entertainment in the extensive fun park at the mall.
Our Activities
Celebrate new releases and meet the authors behind the books. Several publishers and authors will launch their latest works during the fair.
Engage in interactive sessions, including a workshop by Adipo Sidang, author of Parliament of Owls, on Saturday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Enjoy fun-filled activities at Ananas Mall Fun Park, with games, entertainment, and delicious food for families and school groups.
About Us
Book fairs, whether national or international are much localized events and most of the attendance is drawn from the area around their venue. This geographical limitation has at times denied the rest of a country an opportunity to interact with books and other books related stake holders.
This gap is what Thika Book Fair intends to fill. Though to some extent a
regional event, the fair shall have a national and an international outlook. Our mission is to create for every city in Kenya a Book Fair showcasing books and other related materials relevant to its geographical location. We are therefore planning Book Fairs for Mombasa, Kisumu, Nakuru, Eldoret and Meru.
